Following two cancelled lunches in 2022, we were over the moon to welcome 50 incredible women to Café Du Marché on Thursday 2nd March for our first in-person event of 2023.
A huge thank you to our excellent speakers Chloe Jensen, Legal Manager at WIRP sponsors, Assured Sales and Progression. Chloe gave a introduction to the vital role that ASAP fulfil in an increasing number of property transactions, as sales progression specialists. We also heard from Emily Chalke, Founder of Ella’s, the charity that WIRP has supported for several years. Emily bought us up to date on how Ella’s are working with a growing number of women who are the victims of trafficking and slavery. It is both an encouraging and discouraging story as Ella’s ability to support victims grows whilst the need for their support also grows. We then heard from our guest speaker, the wonderful Liana Loporto Browne MNAEA who discussed her journey from an Estate Agent in Malta to a Founder of, both, Liana Loporto eXp and the Women in Estate Agency Facebook Group. Liana went on to discuss the importance of upfront information; the proposal for greater regulation of Estate Agents and the education of consumers in property transactions in the UK. WIRP is delighted to be collaborating with Women In Estate Agency on their inaugural conference which will take place in London on 2nd March.
Thank you to all those who joined us and a very big thank you to the team at Café Du Marché who ensured we enjoyed a wonderful lunch.
