An introduction to the Dear Sirs Campaign
Dear Sirs is an ‘in conversation with’ series that explores various topics related to women in business, particularly focusing on the persistent gender inequality that we are committed to addressing.
The opening webinar, featuring Harriet Waley-Cohen and Ellie Rees, will introduce the Dear Sirs campaign. We’ll explain its purpose, significance, and our objectives moving forward.
In essence, Dear Sirs serves as a platform to examine the challenges women face in property-related industries. We will discuss issues such as everyday sexism in the workplace, childcare responsibilities, and the gender pay gap. Additionally, we’ll tackle specific, timely topics like ‘the old boys’ club’ played out in the recent Garrick Club saga.
Moreover, we will work towards manifesting the Dear Sirs campaign, aiming to eliminate the use of ‘Dear Sirs’ as a legal salutation.
